The Krippenschule Wenns was founded by Peter Riml in 2006. By opening the school, he fulfilled his dream of turning his hobby into his profession. For many years, Peter Riml has dedicated himself to the folk art of nativity scene building. At the Krippenschule Wenns, he shares his deep connection with this Christian tradition, decades of experience and broad knowledge of all topics around the nativity scene. Here you will find valuable advice for every style, from local Tyrolean and oriental scenes to reduced scenes and special forms such as diorama scenes and the Tyrolean snow box nativity scene.

The art of nativity scene building lives from the creativity of every individual artist. The miracle of God becoming human can be shown from countless perspectives and with an almost incomparable richness of facets. Many aspects can be staged in very different ways. Training at the Krippenschule Wenns is intended to enable and encourage builders to represent this miracle from their own perspective.

Courses take place directly at the Krippenschule Wenns or, on request, at external locations. The school has a modern workshop with around 120 m² of space for creativity and inspiration. Nativity scene building requires broad specialist knowledge from different fields. Peter Riml covers this knowledge and adds many years of practical experience as a builder.
